The College of DuPage football team has won a three-peat NJCAA Division III National Championship!
Following a stunning late-game touchdown against the Rochester Community and Technical College Yellowjackets, the Chaparrals clinched a 33-29 victory on Dec. 2 here in Glen Ellyn. That puts our Chaparrals 3-for-3 since the NJCAA recognized non-scholarship football with a national title.
College of DuPage is a national leader in community college football. Under former Head Coach Matt Foster, COD fielded the only community college football program in the state. Coach Foster also helped to found the Red Grange Bowl, the national championship game that COD has hosted since 2016. Coach Foster was named to the NJCAA Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame last month, making him COD’s 11th Hall of Famer.
Congrats to the players, Head Coach Matthew Rahn, and the entire College on this great achievement!
